Welcome to the Section for Women in Public Administration (SWPA) 😊 

Whether you’re a new friend, or a familiar friend just now joining, we’re delighted that you’ve joined one of ASPA’s largest and most active sections dedicated to advancing women’s leadership and inclusion across all areas of public service. 

SWPA is focused on providing members with tools, networks, and resources to support your professional growth. We hope you’ll take full advantage of your membership by participating in our programs, contributing to our initiatives, and connecting with peers who share your passion for public service. 

Our ongoing efforts include: 

• Enhancing the value of membership through meaningful engagement, networking, and connection. 

• Attracting and supporting new members while fostering inclusion and belonging across all career stages. 

• Expanding collaboration with ASPA Chapters, Sections, and national partners to elevate women’s voices in public administration. 

• Advancing scholarship, advocacy, and dialogue on issues that matter to women and underrepresented groups in public service. 

• Providing professional development opportunities through our scholarships, mentorship initiatives, webinars, panels, and networking events. 

• The SWPA Breakfast and Awards Ceremony at the ASPA Annual Conference.
