Each year, SWPA holds elections. SWPA membership is invited to apply to serve on the executive board (chair, vice chair, secretary, treasurer) or an at-large board seat (three-year terms). The positions descriptions can be found by clicking on the links below.
Chair: Leads the SWPA section and manages SWPA's relationship with ASPA National (1 year term)
Vice Chair: Support the Chair and succeeds chair at end of term (1 year term)
Secretary: Manages the digital resources of SWPA to ensure institutional memory is preserved (1 year term)
Treasurer: Manages the fiscal resources of SWPA (1 year term)
Annual cohort: Three positions available (3 year term)
Replacement position: If a board member is unable to complete their term, their position can be replaced by the board chair or can be included in the ballot. (Term limits vary)
Submit your application by April 15 before 11:59 PDT for consideration! Elections will be held April 20-April 31 with the new leadership notified in early May.
Nominations are typically solicited after the annual breakfast in late March/early April with elections occurring in April. The results are shared in May during the annual business meeting.
